I wrote this poem for the dogs and cats euthanized in animal shelters, for the animals that spent their lives and lost their lives in pain and fear in the cruel worlds of factory farming, animal testing and research and for all the animals of this world that have suffered and lost their lives through abuse and neglect. This is my wish for you...
A Paradise Just For You
My wish...
Please let there be a place in heaven, a paradise all their own.
A place where love is overflowing,
where memories of sadness are wiped away,
where loneliness will never exist again.
Oh please let there be a place like this,
there are millions of souls so desperately in need.
A sanctuary for those so very cheated out of life,
where they will find the happiness they never knew.
It MUST exist...
So please dont be scared when you take your last breath,
for it is the last breath you will ever feel in pain.
And in the arms of compassion
you'll fly away from this world
arriving safely at heaven's door.
What a beautiful light will shine all around you,
your presence honored in the most special way.
For you have arrived
and your destiny is love,
breathe freely at last...
in this paradise made just for you.

Erthfrend, there must definitely be a sanctuary, a paradise, a heaven waiting for this poor tortured, neglected, and abuse animals! There must be... for all animals but specially for those that we help come into this world with the sole purpose of abusing and torturing so that we can eat them... there must be!

aww Manny thank you so much : ) This is what I believe, what I have to believe because after what so many of these animals go through and the ones being denied the happiness they so much deserve, only to die or get put to sleep so needlessly, I have to believe there is something special waiting for them.

It will be comforting to read this poem when I lost my dog many years ago....
Ingenira, we can be sure our pets go to a very special place after they pass away, because they had a family, they were loved. But for all the animals that die alone, in sadness, in pain, in fear...I just HOPE something special is finally waiting for them too : )
Erthfrend i too belive that, If there is a paradise just for us in heaven then there should be a paradise, No not a paradise but something greater then that for these innocent and lovely creatures.
They are born in this world where cruelty and viloence is served and they know that they too will have to face it. Wherever these animals go they are Beaten, Used for our purposes, Not treated propely and even Killed!!!
The biggest thing is they cant even TALK or TELL us what they are suffering and feeling. They quietly take the pain not knowing when this all will stop.
I sometimes think what i can do for them. When i look at my Zoey and imagine the time before we met and what she must have gone through, I just cry and think about what will happen to those homeless little animals who don't have a home and a family.
Erthfrend you are really a great spirit and a lovely friend for these animals. I know that when any animal is with you he will feel safe and secure because he will know that you are with him and you will be there with him all the time. And most of all he will know that you love him and that he is also a part of a family.

Oh....this is bringing tears to my eyes..so beautiful, Tanya! I often send out love and white light and "energy" to animals I know are in bad circumstances such as the "shelters" who kill animals and factory farms...all the needless suffering and lack of love in their lives..their 'crime?' That they exist but are not acknowledged..not valued..by humans. This is the height of cruelty; disregard for precious life. This is such a powerful poem! Once, long ago, when I was first introduced to animal rights/welfaqre/protection...I saw an image that seared my soul; one I'll never forget and, since it was one of the first experiences of it's kind for me...the impact was multiplied 10 fold..I hadn't gained the 'shell of protection' (what little I can muster) that I have now.. I said a prayer, placed the image in my mind and sent the most fervent warmth, love and energy to the subject...(I won't say what/who...too tough). I'd wake up at night with the picture in my mind..dream of it. To this day, it still burns! Your poem expresses this same deeply felt sadness for all the animals who get what they do not deserve.
