My Bedtime Poems for Children

My sweet child
lay your head on your pillow
and dream of a soft white cloud.
Wrap yourself up in your favorite blanket
and dream of a peaceful night sky.
May the stars surround you,
the moon shine upon you,
as you dream the night away,
and may your dreams be as sweet
as the flowers in spring
and bloom in your heart
night and day.

Thanks for the nice poems. They would be good for anyone to read or memorize for/at bedtime to get better sleep. I like to think thoughts like these as I drift off into pleasant dreams and peaceful rest. My mother read stuff like these to me and my brothers at bedtime when we were very young.

Sweet and lovely - I wish I had little babies to read it to still....may try it on my 'other baby' though - Griffin the malamute. I wish the same good things for him every night as he is such a gift. Thanks for making me think of it!
